January 2011: Avanti Air is certified according IOSA safety standards

Avanti Air has recently been registered as IOSA operator. This confirms our airline is operating according the safety standards of IATA.

After a two years preparation phase we successfully passed the safety assessment of the global aviation association IATA and received the IOSA certification. The assessment is recognized as industry standard for quality and safety in air transport.

A successful assessment is a requirement for an IATA membership and as well to operate for IATA member airlines. During the audit the standards in regards to quality and safety of Avanti Air have been checked in areas like flight operations, maintenance, ground operations, cabin operations and organization management.

We are pleased to have successfully passed the audit of IATA. The certification is an important milestone for our company and will help us to react more flexible and competitive  to future tasks and challenges. The successful closing of the assessment is achieved by exemplary team work in all departments of the company.

The IOSA safety standard has been introduced by IATA in 2003. The certification is valid for 2 years. Thereafter a repetition of the audit is required.

Since more than 15 years Avanti Air provides adhoc charterflights and ACMI/wetlease worldwide. It’s headquarters are located at Siegerland Airport in Germany. The fleet consists of modern turboprop aircraft ATR 42-500, ATR 42-300 and ATR 72-200.
