Certifying Staff B1 (m/f/d)

To support our small and motivated team, we are looking for a Certifying Staff B1 at the earliest possible entry date.

Responsibilities of the position:

  • Realization of scheduled and unscheduled maintenance as well as trouble shooting
  • Exchange scheduled components
  • Independent fault diagnosis and rectification of defects
  • Monitoring and recording maintenance and repair work
  • Carrying out maintenance work in line maintenance within prescribed time limits
  • Planning and organisation of work
  • Documentation of works and discrepancies

Knowledge and experience:

  • Valid EASA Part 66 CAT B1 licence
  • Type rating (and recent experience) on aircraft type Dash Q400
  • Current Human Factors, EWIS and Fuel Tank Safety certificates
  • Good knowledge of quality standards

Job Requirements:

Nominated Person Ground Operations / Manager Operations (m/f/d)

Position Overview: As the Manager OPS / NPGO, you will oversee the daily operations within our OPS Control Centre. You will be responsible for managing flight operations, ensuring safety, efficiency, and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, an in-depth understanding of airline operations, and the ability to manage complex situations effectively.

The position requires the willingness to relocate to the area of our office at Haiger/Germany.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • The management and supervision of functions and activities within the scope of ground handling operations.
  • Ensuring that all ground operations performed by avantiair contracted ground operational organizations are duly accomplished, with strict adherence to all relevant statutory regulations and requirements laid down in the operations manual.
  • Supervise and manage the daily operations in OCC, ensuring all flights are monitored and managed effectively.
  • Coordinate with various departments to ensure seamless flight operations, including sales, crew scheduling and maintenance.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Manage irregular operations and crisis situations, providing effective solutions and support.
  • Monitor and analyze operational performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and support to the OPS team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with internal and external parties to ensure operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Prepare and manage operational reports, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of operational strategies and policies.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, technologies, and best practices, integrating relevant innovations into our operations.

 

Qualifications:

  • Dispatch license or comparable license and/or experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in airline operations, ideally in a supervisory or management role within an airline.
  • Strong knowledge of airline operations, including flight planning, dispatch, scheduling, and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in using airline operations software and systems.
  • Strong understanding of safety management systems (SMS) and risk management principles.
